Benefits Of Buying A Slow Juicer For Sale

By Toni Vang

Juicing has taken off in recent times as an easy way to maintain a healthy diet which has increased the demand for quality juicers on the market. Loaded with essential vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants, freshly extracted fruit and vegetable juices help people get the recommended daily amount of these foods and keep them in good health. The following reasons explain why health-conscious consumers should strongly consider buying a slow juicer for sale over other types.

Juicers come in a variety of different styles for a wide range of prices and offer varying results. While the cheaper, speedier centrifugal style may appeal to some, the quality and volume of juice produced from using a slow or masticating juicer is a cut above the rest.

Also known as "cold press" juicers, these machines operate quietly at slower speeds and precisely compress produce to extract their juice. Initially they may have a higher price tag, but eventually they make up for this in the volume and rich quality of the juices they produce. This process generates less heat which can be destructive to valuable nutrients. Some are also capable of producing other foods beside juice such as ice cream, sorbet, pasta, and nut milks or butters.

When buying a juicer, shoppers should look for the following features. It should be compatible with all types of fruits, vegetables, greens, herbs, and grasses. Being easy to clean is certainly something most users appreciate, and so is a machine that will yield a volume of juice, and slow models typically extract 35 percent more juice than other designs. More juice ultimately means money is saved on the amount of produce one needs to buy.

Not only is the juice extracted from cold press juicers of higher nutritional value due to less oxidation but it also produces much less waste of the produce. The pulp extracted from a masticating machine is considerably dryer than that produced from other types, this is because most of the liquid nutrients have become part of the juice.

The low speeds of 70 to 80 RPM, result in minimal heat production which helps protect the integrity of the many nutrients which would likely be destroyed in a faster machine which gives off considerably more heat. A superior tasting juice with less separation and foam results. Comparative tests evaluating nutritional quality of juices made from slow and centrifugal juicers, have revealed higher amounts of vitamins such as A and C.

Although it's always healthiest to drink freshly made juice right away for optimal taste and nutritional benefits, most can safely be refrigerated for up to 24 hours for vegetables and as long as 48 hours for fruit blends. Cold press juicers are also ideal for making juices from assorted grasses, herbs, leafy greens, and nut milks that will last longer than those made using a blender.

Some juicers are a real pain when it comes to cleaning them after use, but most vertical cold press designs are just the opposite. They are built to be self-cleaning during extraction for the most part, the pulp screens do not develop a build-up of pulp, which makes for a quick and easy clean-up after juicing.
